What makes CP1 challenging?

With an ~1500 page CMP spanning 39 chapters, CP1 is incredibly broad. But filling up pages with generic knowledge won't get you a pass. Students struggle because:

  • Subjectivity: Low scorability without an optimal answer structure.
  • Lack of Training: Most actuarial students aren't trained in qualitative, structured business problem-solving.
  • Idea Generation: Difficulty connecting bookwork to unseen, non-insurance real-world case studies.
  • The "Waffle" Trap: Indian students often fall into the trap of thinking "filling up sheets = higher scores."

Our Strategy

Our approach prioritizes first-principles thinking over rote memorization, building a strong foundation to tackle complex scenarios.
